The Tri Co-operatives (more commonly known as the Tri Co-ops) are an on-campus student housing association providing affordable, cooperative housing to low-income students as well as students seeking housing that fosters educational and personal growth as instrumental components of safe and comfortable living. The community is comprised of three houses: Davis Student Co-op (DSC), Pierce, and Agrarian Effort (Ag), which regularly house 12-14 students during the academic year. The houses operate by consensus and collective action as independent entities as well as a community. An additional ‘board’ charge covers shared food and house supplies. 

The Domes, (AKA Baggins End Innovative Housing), is an on-campus cooperative housing community consisting of 14 polyurethane-insulated fiberglass domes located in the Sustainable Living and Learning Community (SLLC) at the western end of Orchard Road, it is home to 26 UCD students. It is one of the only student co-housing cooperative communities in the USA, and is an early example of the modern-day growing Tiny House/Small House Movement. The Domes at Baggins End is a living-learning community that encourages critical thought, communication and cooperation between individuals and the community, active maintenance of an open and inclusive space, and resistance to consumerism and structures of oppression. Rent is currently $575 /person and covers room, utilities, garden supplies, four acres of land, shared tools, common yurt, washer/dryer and much more.
